John said "Mick was a wonderful musician and a man who when he committed to doing something always saw it through giving it 100% - it's the best thing I've ever done."

"Evans righteous fury wouldn't be worth a damn if he didn't have the musical muscle to ram it home... tracks like Are you Ready and City of Lights show his real strength, hard-edged boogie blues, that get men drinking and nodding - offset by stunning Springsteen-esque ballads like No Smoke without Fire and Shadowlands Evans hasn't just survived, he is flourishing."

From the album "Survivor" by Henry Yates, Classic Rock, July 2009

John's first album with some of his best songs. "Love Just Slips Away" is a poetic and powerful ballad - a must listen.

In contrast both "Turn Up the Heat" and "Till the End of the Night" are riff driven rockers with dark and moody undertones.

John said "In the Wild Years" a wistful look back on the life I once knew in Paris." The mysteriously titled "Harry's Back in Town" is an ironic swipe at the dangers of heroin. All in all an exhilarating and solid album.

"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast."

"A Moveable Feast," Ernest Hemingway
